Welcome to our charming Alsatian hotel
In the heart of the village of La Wantzenau, near Strasbourg, stands a typically Alsatian building, constructed in 1795: Le Relais de la Poste. A former postal outlet and inn, Le Relais de la Poste is now a 3-star hotel and gourmet restaurant, awarded one star by the Michelin Guide. The establishment has retained its charm and authenticity: half-timbered house, exposed beams, low ceilings, windows with wooden shutters, attic rooms. A cosy cocoon in which to take refuge for a weekend.
Spacious, comfortable rooms
The hotel has 18 rooms, including one for disabled guests. Spacious and comfortable (between 12 and 24 m²), our rooms are divided into several categories: cosy, charming, romantic and balneo.
As the original architecture of the house has been preserved, you’ll reach your room via several corridors and staircases (elevator available), like a secret route to an unspoilt area. Your room reveals the history of the building.
Depending on their category, room amenities vary slightly, but all are equipped with a king-size bed, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer and gourmet welcome kit. Wifi access is also available throughout the establishment.
A generous gourmet breakfast
Offered in the dining room, under the glass roof overlooking the terrace, breakfast reflects the restaurant’s image: local, artisanal and homemade products take pride of place.
Homemade spreads, pastries baked on site, local jams, fresh seasonal fruit, brioche, Streussel and more are all available. Cereals, boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, juices and hot drinks complete the buffet.
